IPL burns 13 days post hair removal. I recieved IPL hair removal 13 days ago and I got what the doc said was melanin clumping and minor first degree burns. This seems a little worse than that. I posted my initial burns and the photos here are what I look like now, almost two weeks later. Is there anything I can do about the dark and light patches? It's still peeling a little and I'm not sure if I should scrub or let it do it's thing. I'm using scar away silicone gel and triamcinolone acetonide cream 0.5%.
Total of 3 treatments on my chest, last one being in May 2, 2018. I was told microdermabrasion will help improve the appearance of the scar. Should I wait some more time or can I start the treatment now? Which is the better option? I am currently using retinol cream and hydroquinone 10%. I was told 3 sessions of microdermabrasion, such as the SkinPen will help. Is there anything else I can do to help reverse the damage caused by IPL?
I got a ipl photofacial about a month ago and the day i went i was left with burning swollen spots she told me it would be normal the next day i wokeup with burns she also said it was normal due to my face probably tanned prior. I left it alone until it healed properly and i was left with pink baby like skin but only on those spots. A month later my face is 3 different colors and it really bugs me because its very noticable. I cant get anything to make it go away or even cover it. Help!
These are scars caused by a PS that attempted to remove veins around my eyes. He did IPL and Erbium aggressively for several weeks because he said it would fade them. It's obvious that didn't happen. It has been six months since the surgery. There is one that is a divot in my temple. He attempted to fill it with filler, but it is still a substantial ditch. I am very disheartened because I feel they will never lighten up. They are very noticeable to others as well. Any suggestions or words of hope?
I had my first IPL treatment 15 days ago. I went b/c I have some age spots in one area of my face that bother me. The technician did my whole face to even things out. I'm totally regretting it. I was very red the first day or two, then got the brown spots that peeled. Today (2 weeks+) I seem to be peeling slightly again (photo below) but really my main concern is that I have all these white stripes all over my face! I'm afraid it's scarring. Any advice is appreciated; I'm panicking!
Hello,I was badly burned from IPL on both sides of my nose. They blistered then scabbed. The provider told me to use cortison but I just can't trust the person who burned me. How can I prevent scarring or is it inevitable? How can I minimize scarring? Would fresh aloe vera help? Manuka honey? Any creams? I know to leave the scabs on for as long as possible but should I be putting something topical on them now? Once scabs fall off should I apply Mederma or other scar cream/gel? Thank you!
Two days ago I received LPL treatment for the first time on my legs for hair removal.. I noticed the machine fluctuated at 69 to 70. As my electrician did the first zap I looked and noticed a seared mark.. I told her and she insisted it was fine. Needless to say I resemble a grilled chicken and still have hair growth. I am applying generous amounts of aloe and zinc oxide but I am terrified about the scarring. What should I do?
It usually was just red spots which would be gone within a week. But now the technician used another type of laser as she said my hairs have become thinner and lighter in color. When i left the clinic, it was very painful and felt really hot. However now, it's not painful at all even if i touch it, it's just like a mark bluish black with a little red. is this blood clot? I am really worried. Thank you so much doctors!
