I have light olive Asian skin and just got my IPL treatment 1.5 days ago. No serious reactions yet, just slight flaking. My brown spots and freckles are lightening. However, I also have some acne and since i'm off the medicine during recovery, I picked at several pustules yesterday. Today, those areas are red and will scab. My question: Given I just had IPL and then picked/hurt my skin, does that put me at greater hyperpigmentation risk? If not, do u foresee any other serious consequences?
6 days ago I had IPL on my hypertrophic scar, it sort of started to flake off just now, however I'm really worried as my scar looks more red than it used to be and I also feel that it's harder. Please advise whether this is a normal result after 6 days or not.
I had IPL at a setting of 22 on my arms over 4 weeks ago, and they still have yet to coffee grind off or to flake off at all. I am wondering if this is normal or if there is anything I can do to speed up the process. The marks are darker but do not look anywhere close to flaking off.
As you can see from photos, brown spots are now quite visible. Before IPL only the larger spot was vaguely noticeable, now entire face looks like cheek. A few freckles turned darker but have since faded. I went there for laser resurfacing which I desperately need but was talked into IPL first. Why aren't these spots turning dark/flaking off? I look worse than I did before IPL. Treatments 1 month apart. Fair skinned redhead, would this be a reason why? Do I need more treatments? Help. Ty
Hello everyone! So I recieved 2 laser treatments for this small bright red dot on my nose that made me like Rudolph. The first treatment didnt really seem to change anything. The second one, the spot looked completely white and I was so happy! However, it soon began flaking, and now is a dark brown color. This was four days ago. I'm very worried because the red was easy to cover up with makeup, but the color now is so dark that its very noticeable. Is this normal? Or really bad?
I recently had three ipl photofacials with great results. I no longer flush from rosacea and my skin only has a mild redness at times. However, after my procedure I have severely dry skin. It flakes around my nose and cheeks and I do not know how to treat it. Is this caused by the IPL or is this just random? I react to almost all products so I have just been washing my face with cetaphil. I can not tolerate moisturizers, so that is not helping the situation.
I received IPL yesterday for my freckled face. I was told that afterwards they would darken and begin to flake off. It has been 24 hours since the treatment and my freckles are not any darker, nor are they rising to the surface as I was expecting. Comparing my face to photos of those who have had the treatment done there is no difference in my face from pre treatment to post treatment. Is this normal? How long should I wait before calling the clinic?
I had IPL about 4 weeks ago. My olive asian skin reacted a lot to the treatment. All the dark spots seem to have flaked off, however, the area around my jawline feel tight and sensitive. Is this normal or should I be normal? How long will it take for this sensation to go away? I've been applying vaseline and avoiding sunlight as much as possible.
