i have a lot of acne on my face. What ever the creme i use, makes my face too dry or too oily and as a result,i get more acne. Recently ive heared about IPL laser ... But i dont know if it is suitable for me and i will get good results or not...
I had a second IPL treatment on my face a month ago and my face looked fine until this past Monday - my face was very dry and irritated - red around cheeks, nose, chin, and mouth. I looked closer in the mirror and noticed parts of my face had dark areas and appeared to be demarcation when in fact these dark areas of skin on my face was dead pigment that had not peeled off as of yet. Would this dead pigment be completely off if I had started exfoliating every day one week after treatment? Thank you.
I had 7 IPLs and 5 nYag in a course of 2.5 years to treat dark circles. Even after the first treatment, I noticed crepey eyes after recovery. Eyes would swell for a week after each treatment, but then leave with crepey eyes. Is it just dry or damaged? Is it permanent? I am 7 months post my last IPL. When I pull the skin down, I can still see small, silvery lines where I had none at all. Doctor said may be natural aging but I am only 22 and had very thick under eyes before.
I'm getting an IPL every three weeks, three in total. I do this once a year and so far have only had excellent results. I have mild rosacea and try to get IPLs done once a year since I turned 32. I'm 35 now. They always make my skin better. Rosehip oil and rose water was recommended to me for mild rosacea as well. I haven't used it yet but was going to add it to my skin regime of vitamin e oil, serum, and coconut oil at night. My skin is very dry, so the oil doesn't make me break out at all.
I recently had three ipl photofacials with great results. I no longer flush from rosacea and my skin only has a mild redness at times. However, after my procedure I have severely dry skin. It flakes around my nose and cheeks and I do not know how to treat it. Is this caused by the IPL or is this just random? I react to almost all products so I have just been washing my face with cetaphil. I can not tolerate moisturizers, so that is not helping the situation.
I had IPL done on a broken capillary on my cheekbone/under eye. The swelling and extra redness has now gone and the capillary looks just the same as before. Will it fade? The IPL was done at 26 joules and I think the nurse did two passes. My skin type is very pale (ghost like lol), dry and sensitive. I have also been on accutane in the last 3-4 months. I have had IPL before and the results were great I just cannot remember how long it took for the redness/dilated blood vessels to disappear.
