Hi Im a 34 year old female who has under the skin, skin colored bumps on both sides of my chin. I have done two courses of Accutane with the last course completed 3 years ago. I have had chemical peels, microneedling, facials, etc. The bumps are not that noticeable unless I am in direct sunlight. I have had a biopsy and was told it is sebaceous hyperplasia. An esthetician said it is scarring from old acne. Someone else said it looks like calcium deposits. It is not milia. What is it?
Antibiotics only work slightly and it comes back so I'm not sure what kind of folliculitis I have. There are no pustules and its only in areas I have shaved before. From what I've researched, I can not afford any therapy other than IPL. I'm sure the folliculitis in my scalp is bacterial so I'm not sure if that relates at all and I have dandruff but I use medicated shampoo. I have coarse dark hair and its pictured with my skin and the bumps won't go away for the treatment unfortunately.
Wondering if anybody has suggestions. I had an IPL session on my face two weeks ago. A few days after I started getting little bumps all over my face and some acne spots. This is my 4th treatment and have had no issues before other than the dark spots getting darker. I only exfoliated a week after and now my skin is horribly broken out in bumps and redness and pimples. The treatment office hasnt seen a reaction like this. I did fly a transatlantic flight the next day and not sure if that made a difference with dryness etc. what can I use to calm this down?!
I recently got an IPL for rosacea and am planning on doing more. I thought that you needed to wait 3-4 weeks between treatments, but the RN who did my IPL said I could do my next one in 1-2 weeks. I had some swelling that still isn't completely gone 4 days after the first treatment. The IPL also seems to have flared my rosacea, and I have a bunch of itchy red bumps on my cheeks that just appeared today. So maybe would be better to wait longer before the second one?
When can I expect improvement. Using Vanicream HC, cold compresses, and got a steroid shot today. Im just getting its fine from where it was done, but I just dont buy it. They told me in 3 days everything would be better. Day 3 & 4 have been the worst. I wake up with massive swelling each morning! Please tell me this will soon resolve with simple remedies.
I got IPL mostly to try to help with flushing. I also had some mild diffuse redness, which you can't really see very well in the before picture, but it was mostly in my cheeks. I'm 2 weeks post from my first IPL now, and it hasn't been a great experience. I swelled a lot, and felt very sunburnt around my eyes for several days after. In addition, 4 days after IPL, I started getting red itchy bumps all over my cheeks that haven't gone away. And my cheeks are now more red than before I had the IPL.
I was currently diagnosed with moderate Rosacea & I can't seem to get a smooth forehead. I am using finacea gel & going to start doxycycline. My dr mentioned IPL & I was wondering if this would smooth out my skin & get rid of the bumpy forehead? I have a consult for Botox but wondering if all I need is IPL laser. Any feedback is appreciated. I also attached photos below. Thank you
Hi ive just done my 3rd treatment on my lower legs 2 days ago, and now my whole legs are covered on red itchy bumps, similar to rash. im afraid they will scar and will be there permanently, is there any way this can be improved?
