Hello hairloss Experts. Once hair grows back from a small patch of alopecia areata via treatment of Kenalog injection. Does the person still need to get injections regularly for maintenance? Or will the hair fall out again if kenalog injection is stopped?
Hair started gradually thinning after a stressful event. Had kenalog injections x2. After second round, I noticed small circles of hair loss around the injection sights and also some atrophy. Will this hair grow back? Are the hair follicles damaged permanently?
I had 2 rounds of kenalog injections for hair thinning out after a stressful event. At the injection sights, I now have some atrophy and patches of hair missing. I noticed these patches about a month or so after 2nd round. Are the follicles damaged? Will my hair grow back?
I had Kenalog 40 (1cc) injected into my scalp (along the hairline) for traction alopecia. I had 2 treatments 6 weeks apart. 3 weeks after the 2nd treatment I noticed hair loss, skin atrophy and prominent blood vessels. 2 weeks later I had normal saline (3ml) injected to correct the skin atrophy. Will my hair ever grow back?
Hello, In March this year, I experienced hair shedding which has got progressively worse as my kenalog injections continued. Furthermore, my menstrual cycle is now irregular. I am pretty sure that these two issues are related to the kenalog and would like to know how long it takes for the effects to finally leave my system and for my body and hair get back to normal! Thank you.
I recently had Kenalog injections on my face to treat Alopecia Barbae. I am noticing some hair growing back, but more than that, I'm also noticing some small pits, or dents. I am very concerned if these are going to be permanen. Will they go away?
I have read this doesnt work and causes more harm than hair growth. I have gotten the injections into my scalp and they have worked repeatedly. Should I bother trying these long term shots or go back to what I know and am comfortable with?
I have many indentations on my scalp after years of steroid treatments (Kenalog injections as well as topicals including Betaderm, Lyderm and Clobetasol) for LPP. Are the indentations a result solely of the injections or are the topicals (in particular the Clobetasol) also causing or contributing to the development of these indentations? Thanks so much!
