Am fair with freckles, heard I could reduce freckles by doing a glycolic peel, had a 30% glycolic Peel done in a salon with no change so decided I would do it myself at home, watched lots of reviews on YouTube and bought 70% Glycolic acid off amazon and left it on my face for 12 mins before neutralising with baking soda in UK we call it bicarbonate), now am worried I may of damaged my pigmentation as all my freckles seems to have joined together? This browning may be a scab but it feels smooth?
I had done chemical peel 1months ago and i have got burn marks quite a lot on my face. How can i get back normal skin? I went to GP and they give me hydrocortisone 1% and using over a month but still not clear. Can i do other peel like glycolic acid and take off top layer? Does it help?
I am a beauty therapist trained in Murad skincare. I performed a Murad rapid exfoliator maximum strength (glycolic peel) on myself and within 3 minutes my cheeks became red and burnt. The rest of my face was fine. I removed it using cold gauzes. My skin was fine with the Regular Strength and I have preformed the Max peel on myself before. I am using ice, aloe Vera and savlon on the burnt areas. How long will it take to heal?
I had a 25% mandelic acid peel. Used before. I forgot I used salicylicacid serum 2% morning of on problem areas near chin- those are the areas visibly irritated. During peel patches looked white, thickened, and raised. After rinse skin was still white. It later turned red and I put aloe vera + occlusive before bed. Photos 12 hr post peel. Areas are sensitive and dark not bright red, smooth. I alternate tretinoin cream and AHA serum nightly. I have L-ascorbic based Vit C, can this help/irritate? Will I have patches?
I been using Cleanser with 4% Glycolic acid follwed by Acne Solution with 2% Salicylic Acid. At first there's redness in my right and left lower chin, tingling sensation eveytime I apply the products then days after it becomes dry and flaky, now the skin become dark. I ak so frustrated and so stress seeing this dicoloration in my face, it looks like I have a beared. I am so stress seeing my face with this, please help. Is this a scar from over exfoliation or burn? Hoc can I treat this and make it lighten?
I did a glycolic peel 30 % at home and left it for 5 mins and had sheer itching after washing. I neutralized my face and applied ice to it for the skin bumps to soothe down. In the morning there was no swelling but I had some small brown spots like burns all over my face. There is not much burning sensation.I am not sure what to do next to prevent leaving marks on my face. Also i have a trip planned for day after tomorrow. can i apply makeup to hide these spots?
2 weeks ago I used AHA 70% on a small brown spot on my cheek. It burned pretty bad so I neutralized it and washed off. It was red and irritated for a while and now it looks like it left a brown spot. This pic is exactly 2 weeks after. What is the best way to get this to fade quickly? I have access to Hydroquinone 4% and Retin A cream .1%. Immediately after the treatment I used Aquaphor every day. Or should I just do nothing. Please help? Thanks
