I had a facelift with fat transfer, I am very happy with my results, however I used a lot of ice because of swelling. Now, after 6 months, I am noticing I have lost quite a bit of the fat volume. I researched on u-tube and one Dr. stated not to use ice on swelling because it kills the fat. I was not aware of this. Could this be true?
A doctor talked me into getting a fat transfer back in 2014 when I was 25. Not knowing any better I agreed to have the surgery and got botched. Surprise! Many years have gone by and I'm still left with pockets of fat in my lower cheek area. Face exercises and massaging hasn't really helped that much. I was considering doing some DIY CoolSculpting using an ice cube. I'm unemployed and broke now so I cannot afford any more surgery. Will applying ice to the area a few times a days help any?
It's been exactly 19days since fat transfer to cheeks and my dog bumped into my face. I iced it right away thinking it'll help. Now I am afraid the fat will be gone. What r my chances of loosing the fat to the trauma area? And about when do u get blood supply to the newly injected fat? Thank you
I have fat transfer in my face, my surgeon put to much fat in my face, it has been 7 months and it does not get Any better, he told me it will go away but it is not changing a bit. I am afraid to do anything to my face to remove it. I read about ice therapy (cool sculpting ) online, is it going to help to get rid of it the natural way. I am soooo depressed and isolated, I don't even want to leave the house anymore, I don't recognize myself, please help me there has to be a safe solution!!!
A doc on realself stated that the ice packs too the face can freeze the grafts. If this happens, is it possible to kill the grafts causing reabsorption? Can this still happen at 3 to 6 months post op? How stable are fat transfer 3 to 6 months post op?
