I knocked out my two front teeth and had to get two root canals. One of my root canals recently failed and required a dental implant. I decided to get new crowns made for both teeth so that they would match. Are these results as good as I can expect? I am not sure how to articulate my issue. Would you say that the crowns are slightly too yellow, opaque and matte? My real teeth being more white, translucent around the border and glossy? Is translucency something that can be achieved?
I got these crowns today. They have no dimension and my natural teeth are a lot more translucent. They are also sitting too far forward. I selected the color with the dentist and it matched but on the crowns it doesnt. I have another appointment to discuss what to do about it. Because a lab made them I am concerned that if I have the lab redo them it will be the same result. They said I can ask for specific things from the lab. What should I specifically ask for/should I just go somewhere else?
I had a root canal and needed a crown. I decided to get 4 because my teeth were crooked, getting very translucent and had many fillings. I'm in panic mode with the temps. I know the real crowns will have a slightly different shape, some translucency and a tad bit lighter, but I'm embarrassed of my smile in the mean time. If they wind up similar to these, would it be terrible? I know my real teeth were not perfect, but they were real, however at 50, teeth can definitely start showing their age!
Hi,I recently receive my all porcelain crowns for my upper teeth and I hated them. They are too opaque. I genetically have translucent teeth especially on my uppers. I am going to meet the dentist at the dental lab next week. How can I explained in words what is wrong with the teeth? Do I show him the pictures? Do I tell him to make the sides and top part of the teeth translucent? Do you all see that the crowns are too opaque? Can you all tell which teeth are the crowns? Please give me feedback.
