I had four permanent crowns placed on my top front teeth. I don't think they are loose, but sometimes they feel as if they are shifting or rocking back and forth ever so slightly, from the pressure of my tongue (in one direction) and the pressure from my top lip (in the other direction). I've read that it's normal for teeth to move or shift a bit. Is this true? It just feels weird.
the dentist filled the back of the crown so it was not catching when I chew the bottom row of teeth and told me to come back in a month to have the implant removed and done again my question is if i leave it loose as it is going looser by the day will this deteriorate the gum or can i get any problems with gum loss i was under the impression that it should be done A.S.A.P SO it does not do any damage im so worried the tooth is a t the front of my mouth i do have receding gums please help thank you
I had a root canal done on one of my front teeth so now I have a porcelain crown on it after the treatment. Now that I have a crown which is slightly more outward than my actual tooth that was shaved off, my retainer (the silver metal part) pushes onto it and I feel just a little pressure (sometimes pain in the morning). Is this okay? Can a porcelain crown move in accordance to my retainer? Does this loosen the cement? I didn't think of this situation before, however it's coming up now.
The wound has been present for around a week or two and majority of the pus is out. Wound is getting better but is still there. When i bite down on that tooth, there is a slight pain and the crown moves (slightly) when i wiggle it around. I dont know whether the wound is making my tooth ache or if my root canal and crown are decaying or infected. The pain is not always present when clenching my jaw but it does hurt when i eat or just randomly.
I recently (4 mos) had a crown done on a tooth (#7 first tooth to MY right of my front teeth). I recently noticed that I can feel the crown--I don't know how to describe it but I can just tell its there. When I push my tongue against it, it feels like its moving. When I put my finger on it and bite down, I clearly feel the tooth underneath it (which goes behind it, top overbites bottom) cause the crown to push out a bit and lift. If I try to wiggle the tooth I feel nothing. Is this normal?
I had a crown replaced on tooth number 13 earlier this week. A temp was placed. The temp broke 3 days later but the permanent was ready, he decided to place it today. He went to cement it and my gums were still sore from the work earlier in the week. I flinched and he said that it may not have seated right because I moved. They took an x ray the dentist said it was acceptable but not perfect. Said it was off by a milimeter. He felt it was 98% out of 100% they're insisting it should be fine
After having 2 crowns placed with permanent cement,2 days later if I touched them they would hurt alot and then they became loose.i could wiggle them side to side with little pressure.went back to the dual certified prosidontis/periodontist and said theirs no infection and they were solid before, during prep and after placing the crowns.so what's causing this.btw the pain has subsided but I can still wiggle them
I had root canal treatment and on my two upper central incisors. This was a few months ago and the crowns that were put were either porcelain or ceramic (I'm unsure). They don't contain any metal. I've noticed recently that they move slightly more than my other teeth (Not visible movement). I was wondering if it is the crowns that are moving or my natural teeth under the crowns. I have been taking good care of them. I don't bite into anything hard. Does the movement mean that they'll fall off?
I had my four front teeth crowned two weeks ago. After the permanent crowns were fitted, everything was great for the first week, but now I constantly feel a clicking or slight back and forth movement when my tongue touches my teeth. The crowns seem to be well fitted but I am not sure what the movement is an indication of. I also feel some light tension, similar to a feeling of having braces taken off. Are the crowns still settling in?
