so I don't put my finger in my mouth often well never really along my gums, I did today next to my sensitive crown tooth and there is painless lump on my gum/bone under that tooth. I JUST had a cleaning on Feb 14, so I assume both the tech and dentist are not THAT incompetent and this has more recently showed up? what is it? Also had wisdom tooth on that side taken out Dec 17th, could it be related to that or just the crown is the issue. Should I see a regular dentist or my surgeon?
The lump isn't painful but feels weird when I touch it. I'm sure it's on the tooth root. I went to the dentist regarding this and the lady told me to come back if it doesn't go away. It's a hard lump and isn't causing me any problems. She did mention a shadow on the x-ray that was taken. I feel not enough is being done and i just want to get it sorted quickly so it doesn't turn in to anything serious if it hasn't done already. Occasionally the tooth throbs, but again the throb isn't painful.
There was a little gum recession on tooth 29, so my dentist did a small filling along the gum line, but the filling came off later, and she did the filling again. 8 months after that, a lump started growing near that tooth, my dentist told me I need a root canal, but she said the tooths death is not related to the filling, and I need a crown after root canal. Since the tooth has no other decays or cavities, 1. will a filling be good enough? 2. it died because of the gumline filling?
The top crown was fitted and kept falling out a post was put it but the crown still fell out. It was cemented back in but now I have a lump on the roof of my mouth that comes and goes. The lower crown that was fitted sometimes hurts when I bite and the third crown that was fitted there is a gap from the gum line to the crown. My top jaw feels like I have jaw ache and I get a horrible taste in my mouth and suffer from headaches. Please help as I don't know where to turn.
Got my permanent 4 front crowns yesterday. They look and feel fine unlike the temporaries with the thick globs of cement overlapping the roof of my mouth. 10pm made night guard, afterward I noticed lumps of cement overlapping the roof of my mouth! Can the extra cement be removed without removing the crowns?
