My porcelain crown(with metal) has been there for around 6-7 years and recently I realized that one side of the gum beside the porcelain crown hurts when I floss, and the metal part of the crown is exposed in some area. The denist office told me that they see no problem from the X-ray that I took last month. I know that you cannot see the cavity inside the crown through X-ray, but can you see if there is a leak or open margin of the crown through X-ray?
After 14 years post broke on 3 teeth bridge. It had a nasty taste.dentist put new post and Zirconia bridge for 4 teeth to be stronger. After 1 year convinced my doc that the bridge was loose & taste never went away. The post got loose, broke again, so had to pull out the tooth and had a new bridge ceramic to metal. Now I have tart taste from under the crown that caps the live tooth, chipped bridge & feel the margin with my tongue. Can it be leaking margin and dentist doesnt want to admit that?
Before cementing, I did notice micro leakage on original tooth, but the doctor said it was just staining. And the overall color of the tooth looked good after cementing. Now the blue stump has become more noticeable. I already inquired about bleaching the tooth or having something that would block the underlying color under crown, but doctor was not capable of doing any. Under natural lighting it looks fine, but it looks darkened under indoor lighting
I have a 15 year old composite filling on my molar that had leaked over a year ago and I didn't even remember my dentist telling me this. I think I just forgot about it. Recently whenever I chew on the side with the filling, my tooth hurts. It only hurts upon pressure from chewing or brushing. Occasionally it hurts from saliva or air. I'm upset that my dentist didn't bother to fix the leak and waited until now to tell me to get a root canal. Should I just see another doctor for a refilling?
Revision emax crowns, first crowns were turning blue due to micro-leakage, these ones that were just cemented are starting to turn gray. The cement used was called Block-out. I have researched all night about different cements on Emax crowns and not one site recommends block-out which is recommended particularly for lumineers. I feel so depressed as to what I should do now...what is the protocol to block out any dental shade in Emax crowns? I am desperate!!
in reverse i went back She gave me antibiotics which didnt work through trial & error & pain I realized mouthwash (mw) was causing the pain I told her that i think there is a leak allowing mw in the C causing pain as my pulp is just exposed to mw as if it was marinating in a bowl She disagreed & said there is no sign of leak on x-ray & i should change my mw & pasteI changed mw to a non-alcoholic & sensitive paste & still have the pains. am i imagining the relationship between the mw and pain?
