6 years ago had root canal & crown on tooth #19. Not sure of crown material. Ever since, I've had an off & on throbbing tooth pain & burning sensation on my tongue in the area. I'll be good for a few weeks then it comes back for a few days. The tooth pain & burning tongue go hand in hand, never one without the other. Goes away at night. No response to pain relievers. Multiple dentists say looks ok. Affecting my quality of life. Considering crown replacement.
Around 8 years ago I had a root canal done on my front left tooth with no crown placed. Then 3 years ago I had crowns placed on all front 6 of my teeth due to some breakage and everything was fine. Last year I bit on something hard and the front tooth was hurting constantly not horrible but noticeable. Saw an Endodontist who ended up redoing the root canal as he said the old one had some overfilling. That was 2 months ago and the pain is still there. What else could this be?
I had a gold and a porcelain crown put on a week ago and I am have a bitter metallic taste in my mouth with a burning/tingling tongue. I went back to the dentist and he said it's not from the procedure and I must have changed my diet, which I haven't.
I recently had an existing crown replaced and the adjacent top incisor crowned. The newly crowned tooth had a root canal performed some 20 years ago. It now feels very odd when touched. It also mildly aches and I have an occasional slight burning sensation. The dentist has tested the crown for mobility and taken an X-Ray. He said everything is normal and that crowns do feel different. The other crowned tooth feels fine (it is now on its 3rd crown). Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Had an RCT done on #19 over a year ago and crown placed. This tooth is not hot/cold sensitive but my jaw has not felt right ever since and is getting worse. It aches into my middle ear , I feel almost a slight burning aching feeling in my jaw , it hurts my jaw to chew and open. Is it from this RCTd tooth? Is this a symptom of a cracked or fractured tooth? I don't want to have it pulled if it's not but I can't go on any longer with this level of discomfort. I have been to the endo as well.
Six months ago I had 4 crowns and 4 veneers put on, since then I have had a burning tongue and roof of my mouth. My tongue is also swollen... I am so scared, it took me years to save the money for this and now i am in pain every day of my life... Benadryl helps. My dentist pretty much has said sorry about your luck! I am assuming i am allergic to the material of the crowns and veneers . Any help will be most appreciated!
