Im Lola , Im twenty six years old . Im a teacher and also an entrepreneur. I just got an apicoectomy on my front tooth and I havent gotten a crown on the tooth . Is it advisable to get a crown immediately or should I wait until months later ? Also I could still feel some tenderness on my gum due to the apicoectomy done five weeks ago . Is that normal ?
Recently my dentist said #12 root canal failed. Endodontist said #12 needs apioectomy and did root canal on #13. Week after that, crown breaks on #12. Dentist puts on temp crown. Week after that #13 breaks off at gumline. Dentist puts in post and temp crown, charges me for post. This was yesterday. I've had a terrible headache ever since. Also, tonight I had some beef and the 2 temporary crowns came out. Should I see a new dentist? What is normal protocol? Do you think the headache is related?
I had an apicoectomy around 6 weeks ago on my 3rd from back tooth. The tooth feels a lot better just slight gum tenderness/numbness where their is scar tissue. The first few weeks my tooth and/or crown seemed loose. The crown now sits lower than the rest of my teeth. It doesn't feel comfortable when I chew. My dentist had said he would replace the crown in 6 months but would it be possible to have something done before then? Or could it affect the success of the apicoectomy?
I visited Endodontist recently for routine route canal work on a separate tooth. During viewing X-rays he commented that my top front 4 crowned teeth 3 of which have Apicetomy the X-ray shows that amalgam is leaking from them. He stated that unless he removes and re-does Apicetomy i will suffer severe health problems. It is an expensive procedure. He is held in high regard by most in my area although not all. I would welcome other views pls.
Hi. I have a crown on a front tooth which has had an apistectomy done on it about 18 years ago. My dentist tells me the crown needs to be redone as the gum line has receeded but she is reluctant to do the work. I think there is little root left on the tooth. Can this be done safely ? Ie without my tooth being pulled?
