I have had my two front teeth bonded. Im afraid to put a retainer on because I dont want the bonding to come off my teeth. Im also afraid to do a dental impression because of this. Will wearing a retainer daily make the boxing come off the teeth? It seems it would put a lot of stress on the teeth from taking it on and off. Thanks
I recently finished Invisalign treatment and had the bonding on my front right tooth replaced and bonding on my incisors removed and reshaped. My question involves two parts: 1. My dentist said I wouldnt need a new retainer tray made after fixing the bonding. I want a second opinion. 2 . My dentist never gave me a retainer tray after my Invisalign treatment and I am still using the last tray in the treatment set. Is this typical? Should I be getting a new tray for my post treatment retainer?
Ive recently finished my brace treatment and am wearing a retainer. I have been considering getting some composite/dental bonding work done. Im due to go abroad soon and was wondering whether I could do this abroad and have a new retainer remoulded and fitted whilst there? Does anyone have any experience with something similar or would it be advised against doing anything like this abroad? Any help appreciated! (Of course, total costs abroad will be much less than in the U.K.)
I've had my braces taken off over two years ago with cemented/bonded retainers on my top set of teeth and also reg retainer. Although straight, I noticed there is a gap on the front side of the tooth between tooth 9 and 10) and the middle section isn't perfect. One of the tooth is a bit more square than the other. I've decided to get my teeth bonded to close the side gap and to shape the front teeth better. Would I need a new set of retainer after?
I got my braces off over 3 years ago but over time a very tiny gap has appeared in between my two middle teeth. I would love to close that gap and also if possible maybe file down my 2 front teeth as I feel as though they look very odd as theyre so large compared to my other teeth. Although when the gap is closed it may look normal. I have a fixed permanent retainer on the back of my teeth and wondered if I got bonding done would that have to be taken off and put back on or could it stay off?
Please I'm so sad dentist filed one tooth too much on the bottom but also buffed the backside touching 6 teeth I'm freaking out. I'm so upset he filed a tooth but then he polished the back side of my teeth going against 6 teeth He saids he only touched one tooth this is not true I felt the too on the backside of the teeth I brush my teeth they are blunt rough and shorter my retainer and pictures show the difference My mouth is small he did this file because I have a implant on the top I'm crying everyday He didn't have to do this I bite down the teeth are so weak soft & my jaw isn't right so horrible can this be fixed?
So I recently got a bonded retainer on the top two teeth to close a gap that opened up after a got a dental cleaning, but know my bite is off, and Im having jaw pain along with headaches. What should I do? Should I worry or should I wait to see if my bite will adjust.
I have had invisalign in the past but due to my dog eating my retainers and the cost of replacement I was unable to finish. I am hoping to start invisalign again but noticed with my last treatment my teeth were lacking the evenness I desired. I also still have the attatchments from my last treatment
'04 had bonding done.Have gum recession w gumgrafts. Invisalign for crwding/gums.Front teeth moved.Wanted to tweak tooth bef final retainer.Chose dentist thru reviews/photos.Consult w assistant,tried to explain want sim.shape/sz front teeth.At appt Dr filed/sawed/bonded.Told me to rinse&left room for nxt pt.Told asst I HATED it.Tooth looks worse/shorter than bef.Weird line/space betw teeth.Bonded teeth tog also.Can be fixed/removed/improved?Don't want to file down other tooth or do veneers.
