I have a cyst in the forehead for about 4.5 years. A Plastic surgeon said that, only by surgery and the scar will be larger than the cyst, so not sure I want to do it. The dermatologist said he can remove it with an electric needle. My questions is both for dermatologists and plastic surgeons: Could this cyst be removed without scarring using an electric needle or it is a waste of time? Also doesn't it look too deep to use an electric needle for that? Size of it about 3mm
The cyst is located right where the arrow is pointing and is below the skin near the jaw line. It is not noticeable but if you rub your finger over the spot you can feel it. I don't like knowing its there and want it removed, but I'm afraid of the scar it will leave. An ent told me he can't go through the mouth or drain it because he feels there is nothing to drain. It moves around when touched and is not tender. Is an ent the right surgeon for this and can it be removed without leaving a big scar?
Hi, I have a hard epidermoid cyst on my philtrum, right on one of the columns. It came after an acne. A dermatologist made a small cut to squeeze it out, but nothing came out. Now its even bigger and with a red mark. A new doctor said I need to take out all of it with capsule otherwise it would come back. Im worried about scars and to destroy the symmetry of the philtrum. What do you think, should it be fully removed? I plan to go to a plastic surgeon when I try to take it away next time. Thanks
There is a small lump on the tip of my chin (under the skin) its on the location where my finger is in the picture. It feels smooth, like a small ball, moveable, not too hard but not soft either. Im terrified and want to know what it is and get it removed if necessary but Im scared of scarring too. Wanted to get an opinion about it. Thank you
I had a cyst removed over a year ago and the doctor had told me he had to remove massive amounts of scar tissue from the area and that I had very thick cystic skin. Since then another cyst came in directly next to the site where he removed the last one. I have a deep indentation left from removal of the old cyst. I have had the new cyst injected but it seemed to only shrink it a little that was about a month ago. I would like help with the indentation without aggravating the new cyst. Please Help.
I have a huge sebaceous cyst right under my eyebrow that has not responded to three Cortizone injections. I have been on Accutane for 7 months. I am concerned about scarring and healing although I was already told it would leave a scar. One plastic surgeon told me it would be fine to continue taking the Accutane and another one wasnt sure.
