I have an atrophic scar on my nose bridge; do to a mole removal 6 months ago. One Dermatologic Surgeon says CO2 laser is the best treatment? The other Dermatologic Surgeon says a Scar revision surgrey best. He will turn the 5 mm atrophic scar into a 7 mm straight line acrossnose bridge using a cut and stitches method. Which is the best? Which will leave the smallest scar. Right now I have a 5 mm whole on nose bridge.
I had 2 moles removed (shaved and then burned) from my face 2 weeks ago. In a few days I am scheduled for my 3rd treatment of Fraxel CO2 laser. Should I wait to do the 3rd treatment because my scars from the mole removal are still fairly fresh? One mole was removed from the right side of my nose and the other my left cheek
I just got a mole removal (flat brown nevus approx. 1cm circumference) by CO2 laser. It's healing nicely just by applying aquaphor. No scabs but there is redness left behind. I plan to continue treatment after the wound heals completely with scar cream such as Dermatix and Vitamin C serum. Could I also use retinol/retinaldehyde cream? I'm afraid it's not allowed since it was a mole there.
I recently found a product called Vitamin C Serum (20% Hyaluronic Acid) on Amazon. I want to use this product on my face. I had several small benign moles removed from my face with a CO2 laser. The spots are still pink/red and I noticed just one spot looking apparently darker than the others. I was wondering if it's okay to use this product on my face to fight the risk of hyper pigmentation. Will this also help heal these red/pink spots any faster? I am currently 3 weeks post treatment.
I had CO2 laser mole removals on 2 flat dark moles. It's been 2 months since my treatment and one of the moles has returned in the form of a very light brown spot. My surgeon told me it was post inflammatory hyper pigmentation and that it should fade withing 6 months. Since meeting with him the spot has gotten darker. Is it realistic to expect the pigment to blend in with my skin within 6 months or is this permanent?
3rd time for a big mole I had and 1st time for a smaller mole under my lip. There are still bits of skin that look like they should peel off the mole (3rd time layered) but if I touch them the skin under is raw red, will they peel off eventually? The mole under my lip scabbed off after a week and left an indent, I became very concerned and began applying polyfax, now it's like a yellow moist circle. Is this going to heal ok?
