Hello It's been 9 months since my lip lift surgery. The scar is very noticeable and deep on one side. No cosmetics help to hide it and because of this I am depressed. I am thinking about doing cosmetic procedures to erase the scar, thinking about laser resurfacing and maybe subcision I had a keloid scar on one side that went away after a steroid injection. My question is, is it possible to do deep laser resurfacing and subcision 9 months after surgery?
I am a 23 year female and I have been worried about a keloid scar on my chest for a long time . Its very visible so it makes me conscious when I wear clothes .I have had multiple steroid injections , had NG yag laser and applied scar creams locally for the past 6 years . The skin around that area has become very thin and 1 doctor even recommended me to get tattoo over it to hide it. Another doctor said nothing can be done. As a last resort should I get Co2 laser ? I really want to get it rid .
Can cO2 laser be used on body parts that are not face/chest/and neck, like full back/butt/legs as well as stomach/breast&all that? I hear that it can kill precancerous skin cells as well as getting rid of sun damage&age spots? Does it help fully get rid of deep scars&keloids as well boost up sagging skin&increase collagen long term? Should you get a cO2 laser resurfacing treatment done every 5-10 years to help keep up since it does last years if done right in one treatment?
I had four kenalog injections for a keloid.Although it has flattened my skin texture is still puckered dark and overall looking terrible. One derm told me that CO2 will work well but the skin will turn very dark and I have to purchase expensive creams after. What other laser/anything else would be beneficial to me?
I have a keloid scar on my shoulder from having a neurofibroma removed for testing. I would like to get CO2 laser for my acne scarring and was wondering if this is an issue? I have recently had 2 radiofrequency microneedling- Morpheus8, and previously had plenty of normal microneedling sessions which I have recovered fine from. Is Co2 risky for me, as an Indian girl with a keloid scar. Would a patch test be worth it? Thanks for the feedback and any potential recommendations of other lasers etc.
Hello, I had a CO2 laser procedure 3 weeks ago on face keloid (on the chin). The treated keloid got very red and swollen, seems like its size increased. I have used fusidic acid since day 2 for 20 days and mometazone since day 3 for 15 days. Also, doctor injected botox in the keloid right before the CO2 treatment. Could all these result in a bigger keloid?
