I am 1 year post surgery and I think I am developing capsular contraction again (only on the right side). This is my 4rd surgery for this. All surgeries under the muscle, but with the last surgery I got a mesh. Also, different surgeons. Do I have any options or just take them out? How about over the muscle? Thank you for your time.
I have mentor implants done since Aug 2022 and for the past 1 week, I have been feeling slight pain in the middle of my sleep. Also noticed that the breasts are getting asymmetrical with the right breast sagging further than left breast with nipple pointing up. Is this a capsular contracture? It's not hard but if I squeeze the implant; I can feel a little pain though it's tolerable. Please help!
Hi all I've got an issue with my 13 year old breast implants a huge change in size hardening and pain ( in one implant ) it looks like cc from my research. I'll be having a mammogram to rule out anything more sinister my issue is i can by no stretch of the imagination finance a re-op for at least 10-12 months. ( cant get finance either ) please give some tips on how I can try and stop it advancing rapidly and will I get it again with a reop I'm absolutely terrified.
had capsulectomy 8 month ago and surgery side dropped about half inch lower than other side. However lately both sides are even which means the surgery side lifted back up. Still soft. Is it normal for implant to drop too much after capsulectomy and then lift back up a bit months later? Is this normal capsule building thats causing the lift or is it start of cc. The breast is still soft but concerned why its lifted back (by appx less than half inch) than where it was right after capsulectomy
Hello, Im 3 months post op for breast augmentation. I had mine placed under the muscle. My right breast has always been higher and more firm. My left breast has dropped and feels softer. I had no issues with my right breast until recently. Last week I woke up to pain in my right breast. I thought maybe it was because I fell asleep on the couch. The pain hasnt gone away and sometimes hurts more when I get out of bed or lift up my arms. It also feels harder. Is this the beginning of what cc feel
Recently I have started to get soreness in my breasts one more than the other and I had my procedure done in July of 2020. If it is capsular contracture is there anything I can do to lessen the severity or is revision my only option? Does soreness that far from surgery mean capsular contracture? Is it possible to get prescribe a medication to help or is it too late?
I have mild capsular contracture after 2 years, and wondering if I go for a revision should I go to a new plastic surgeon to get a different brand implants? Currently i have mentor but have read Sientra causes less capsular. Would it also make more sense to remove both implants since if the capsular side is removed it will look lower than the other breast, and may need another revision for symmetry? I would appreciate your input.
I consulted with 4 different ABPS board-certified plastic surgeons about revision of my high riding implant. 12 years post transaxillary, soft (but not quite as soft as other side), not painful. 2 were absolutely sure I had mild cc and need capsulectomy; 1 was unsure if it was cc or malposition and said capsulotomy is a better choice regardless; the fourth said I have NO cc at all and only need capsulotomy. What are the criteria for a total capsulectomy vs capsulotomy for mild CC? Thank you!
Hi I had my breast done 1yr 7 months ago. In the beginning I had some pain in my left boob, however this went away. It had now come back and feels like sharp stabs and sometimes burning in the implant. I have also noticed that one breast is fuller especially on top and seats higher, also some difffences in the nipples and firmess. Naturally I have some slight differences but with the pain, I am worried I am developing capsular contraction. Any advice would be helpful.
