I am trying to quit smoking and had 2 Nicolette lozenges in the morning (eq 3 cigarettes) & was having 1 lozenge (Eq 1.5 cigarettes) during my jaw Botox appointment. I just realised this might affect the treatment. Will this have any adverse effects? Other than that I am healthy etc.
Been doing Botox to slim my jaw since 2016 (every 3 months, total 45 units). Initially I used to get crooked smiles but over the years it disappeared while doing the procedure. Last year, I noticed that the slimming effect started reducing compared to earlier years. After the one I got done in November, my jaw slimming almost stopped. I got another one done in March. I feel weakness in my jaws while clenching but no slimming effects at all. What could be happening and how can I get this resolved
I want my Masseter region to be slimmer for a more tapered, angular & masculine jawline more in line with classically attractive proportions. However, I don't want the entire bulk of it to be slimmer, only a certain portion of it. Can the injection of botox be localized to only very specific portions of the muscles such that the slimming effect is restricted to only those highly specific parts? Or does the entirety of the muscle become paralyzed & slimmer even if you inject into a small part?
I'm thinking of doing jawtox but I also want to continue my regular treatments of Exilis, HIFU and RF. Some says you cant do them if you have jawtox. Some says you can do it without downtime. Some says you can do it 2 weeks after Jawtox. Insights?
For almost two years, I received Botox injections in my masseter to relieve teeth grinding and achieve a more balanced facial appearance. Initially, it worked wonders, and I followed the recommended three-month schedule. Additionally, I received Botox for my crow's feet, brow lift, glabella, etc. However, the masseter treatment suddenly lost its effectiveness. Despite increasing the dosage to 20 units per side, there was no improvement over the following three sessions spanning nine months.
Ive had Masseter Botox many times but this time a new injector gave me 35 units on both sides thats given me massive jowls, when I smile I look like a chipmunk. Its been 3 months. Will this improve or do I need to do something. Ive never had this before and I hate it.
I'm a professional saxophone player considering getting botox in my masseter muscles for TMJ relief and facial slimming, however I'm concerned on my ability to play saxophone. For some comparison, the feeling of blowing on a saxophone mouthpiece would be similar to blowing up a balloon. Would this ability be compromised? Thanks
I have noticed a lot of aging in my face, mainly lower face. I had a lot of issues with my TMJ. I got Invisalign 2 years ago and it helped a lot with my TMJ but it does seem like my face is much wider and my lips a bit thinner. I have a little double chin regardless of my weight. What are some procedures I could look into for a tighter/firmer lower face. I know I would probably have to consider Botox to slim my jaw which I am open to. But do worry that it will worsen the sagging of my lower face
