I want to get Invisalign done but apparently if I have root resorption from previous braces I can’t get it done because it could cause my teeth to become damaged or fall out? Is this the case?

Invisalign may be able to assist moving the teeth downwards and allowing them to be more visible when you smile. Porcelain Veneers would also be another good option.
Yes, sometimes the refinement aligners contain overcorrections that are not needed. Did you ask the orthodontist what the next 7 aligners would do if used?
