Losing vision after Lasik 8 years ago. What are my options? (Photo)

Was your vision stable prior to having
LASIK? If not, the small changes
you were having could be continuing.
If your vision was stable pre-surgery, the changes you are having now
are not terribly common but certainly possible. Your current prescription is mild, though I’m sure bothering
you enough to limit your vision especially in low light and nighttime.

Your options include more LASIK if your
corneal thickness is sufficient and if your corneal topography is normal. If your corneas are too thin for
additional treatment, a surface ablation such as PRK (also known as LASEK or epi-LASIK)
could be an option.
Wavefront-guided treatments are helpful to minimize risk of additional
night glare or halos, or even reduce existing night side effects you currently
have.

Dryness of the eyes after LASIK is a
possible side effect, and can be permanent. If this is extremely troublesome, there are options such as punctum
plugs, and Restasis eyedrops to address severe dryness.
