I had breast surgery (augmentation with 175cc implants, periareolar incision and breast lift) on the 2nd of February because of tuberous breast. Now after 4 months I'm not happy with the result: there is a visible line where my old breast ended and they are not as smooth and round as I expected. I know that tuberous breast may never look like a normal breast, but I ask if I have to wait for complete healing or if it won't go away and so if I need surgery again.
Answer: Tuberous breasts? Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another. See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for a Breast Augmentation. Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Tuberous revision Yes, this will persist as it represents the border between your natural breast tissue and where it is only skin(?muscle) over the implant. Traditionally, an open surgical procedure was usually done. What we have found more recently is that well done fat transfer can provide an EXCELLENT improvement of this without the need to reenter the breast. You can see examples on-line of fat grafting for tuberous breast deformity. Make sure the surgeon you choose is experienced at this. Of yes.....and I would suggest waiting at least 6-8 months for your tissues to settle before considering this.

Answer: Revision is needed for double bubble after tuberous breast augmentation Thank you for your question. I am very sorry to see that you have a double bubble after your breast augmentation. You will need a revision however I would wait at least 6 months or longer. The implants that you have in will hopefully stretch and expand your constricted breast. At the time of your revision the double bubble can be corrected, any remaining vertical bands within your breast can be released with a mastotomy and possibly a larger breast implant placed. For more information on tuberous breast please read the following link:

Answer: Double bubble breast deformity It appears as though the problem won't correct on its own. A revision will most likely include release of the lower portion of the breast to help alleviate the double bubble.

Answer: Tuberous breast double bubble. Will it improve or do I need more surgery? 4 months post op, 175cc Thank you for the question and pictures. Unfortunately, given that you are already 4 months out of surgery, it is unlikely that the breasts will change very significantly over the course of the next several months. Of course, it will do no harm to wait a few months before making a final evaluation, but in my opinion, it is likely that you will benefit from revisionary breast surgery. This operation will likely involve manipulation of the lower pole breast implant capsules (for example, radial capsulotomy incisions) and/or breast tissue excision below each areola. You may find the attached link, dedicated to revisionary breast surgery concerns, helpful to you. Best wishes.
