Still Have Swelling and Bruising 4 Weeks After Facial Procedures

I had surgury 4 weeks ago I am 59 which included fat transfer, lip augmentation, fat transfer, liposculpture to facial areas, endoscopic browlift, upper skin removeral of upper and lower lids, facial rejuvenation mid and lower face, neck and jowls.I am still really swollen and brused under the chin it feels really tight, lumpy and numb I am still having problems with focusing my eyes I am really swollen when I wake up,I am sleeping on the wedge. Is this normal and what can I do to reduce swelling?

Swelling after facial rejuvenation procedures

Four weeks after surgery is still relatively early in the recovery process especially since multiple procedures were performed, including fat transfer. It is normal to have residual swelling and bruising four weeks after such extensive surgery. Without photos, I cannot comment as to whether the amount of swelling that you have is normal, however. Recovery after facelifts

Dear Good news, Not to worry. Everyone has different levels of swelling and bruising after face lifts. You had a lot done and the swelling and bruising can be expected, although I do not have a picture to give an accurate evaluation. Lumps and bumps over the skin can occur and usually even out over 3 - 4 months. You may want to massage the area to help the healing process. Remember, stay patient. All the best, Dr. Lille

This sounds about normal.

The fat grafting is just a procedure that take many months to quiet down. One month after surgery is a very short time. I suspect that your bruising has only just begun to clear. Bruising directly contributes to swelling. As the bruising resolves many of the lumps and bumps will calm down.
