My plastic surgeon from Dom. Rep. requested me a hemogram, and i did a full blood exam, she wanted to know my hemo & it came back fine 12.2 now my Rdw its a little high it is a 20 & i asked her about that she said everything should be fine because my hemo is good. i don't understand how my hemo is fine & my rdw is high! i dont know if i should be concerned about getting this procedure with a high rdw. The lady in the lab told me it could be due to me being on my period since i get heavy periods.
