So I got 20 units of botox in my forehead about 10 days ago. Now outta the blue I have a lymph node on my right side of my neck swollen like a bean and it's not move able . My neck hurts I fell hot but no fever went to dr and they tested me for strep. And was negative. I feel as if I'm going to get sick but I'm not. Could this be related and what can I do. I'm scared.
Answer: Can botox cause lymph node swelling? This is completely unrelated to the botox placement. You can relax but follow up with your regular doctor as it sounds as if you may have an infection. Get well soon!

Answer: Can botox cause lymph node swelling? Botox would not be the culprit in this case, especially since it is 10 days after injections and you dont have any localized issues. i suggest seeing your general physician. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Botox and Swelling Thanks for your question – and we can assure you that your swollen lymph node has no relation to the Botox that was injected if the Botox sites look normal. There are a lot of reasons why one can get a painful lymph node, and the most common of these would be an upper respiratory infection, even if strep was ruled out.I would go back to your internist and let them evaluate you again — and rest assured that Botox did not cause this.

Answer: Botox and swollen lymph nodes Unless there is localized redness and swelling around the sites where Botox was injected, it is highly unlikely to have any lymph node enlargement. More than likely, since strep has been ruled out, this is from a viral infections which should resolve with time. Any lump that persists does need to be evaluated by a physician.

Answer: Botox shouldn't cause swollen lymph nodes In your case, if the botox was the culprit, you probably would have had lymph node swelling within the first couple of days. I haven't seen this ever, but I guess it would be possible. More likely than not, you're just coming down with an upper respiratory infection. Not all upper respiratory infections are caused by strep- most are just viruses. However, if the lump persists after you're not sick any more, PLEASE be sure to get it checked out by a doctor. Good luck and get some rest!
