Hi there, I accidentally shaved a 1mm dark brown mole from the back of my leg and the skin has now healed but I can still see a little shadow of the mole left behind in a lighter brown. It's exactly the same size and has not changed in any other way. If this was a malignancy would this shadow still show signs of change that I can keep an eye out for?

Most Likely it is Fine

Based on your description, this is most likely fine. You can certainly have a ermatologist look at the area to confirm. The "shadow" is to be expected, so that is not a concern in and of itself. If the mole grows back, or more importantly gets larger, then you should have it tested.

Go see a dermatologist to make sure you have not shaved a melanoma.

A dark freckle could be an early Melanoma. I would recommend that you see a dermatologist and completely remove the lesion. If the lesion was raised enought to shave it off, it is not a feckle, so get it checked!
