I had a lactic acid peel done today by an esthetician in a plastic surgeons medspa. I believe she used 70% lactic acid and then some enzyme mask which burned even more than the lactic acid. I started noticing some red spots when I got home and now I’m worried if it’s going to cause permanent scarring or hyperpigmentation. The red blotchy spots are on both cheeks , under the eyes. Do I need to go see a doctor ASAP or does this look normal after a peel? I always wear sunscreen.
