Hypopigmentation appears to be the most prominent cosmetic aspect of this scar. There does not seem to be much indentation. If this is indeed so, then professionally performed microneedling accompanied by the application of topical, prescription pigment promoters, such as tyrosine and lanatoprost, can prove helpful for restoring pigmentation and blending better the scar area in both color and texture with the surrounding normal skin. If there is indentation, then subcision can be used to first elevate and smooth the scar, which then can be followed by the microneedling.
