BBL with lipo of the arms, is the recovery time for both at the same time?

Good morning!  The Brazilian butt lifts performed at our office in Foster City California typically include a number of areas to shape the body.  As a result, I have mandated an overnight stay either with a nurse or at the local hospital to administer fluids post-operatively.  That being said, liposuction of the arms is often included in the body shaping.  The recovery can be at the same time as that for the rest of the body.  As for the most sensitive regions for discomfort, my observation includes the arms and inner thighs as being the post painful.  A well thought out plan to assist with post-operative pain should be discussed with your physician prior to surgery.  I hope this helps!!

Normally, this would be a good time to perform upper arm liposuction, but a physical exam and consultation would be necessary to determine this as well as your expectations after surgery.  If you are healthy, you can have these procedures done well with the right surgeon and the right postoperative strategy. In general, after performing hundreds of Brazilian buttlifts, the average pain or discomfort period lasts from 3 to 7 days.  This largely depends upon the amount of fat injected into each buttock.  According to my patients, the few days of discomfort are well worth it. With the lipo of the arms, there may be some bruising that will last for a week or so.  It is generally well tolerated with only a few days that will require some pain medication.  Find a board certified plastic surgeon who has performed thousands of these two procedures and has hundreds of pictures and reviews. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
