I got a staph cellulitis infection above my eyebrow last year from something random I touched. It created an abscess that opened up and layers of skin came off. After antibiotics the abcess scabed over and then once the scabed came off I was left with this very noticeable indented scar. I have medium to darker skin (Indian decent), so is laser treatment an possible? Collagen injections/fillers? Or a surgical excision the best option?

Answer: Recommend doing a light CO2 laser treatment to even out skin texture
This typically requires scar revision to get improvement. Although, I have had some success with fractional lasers/RF and microneedling. Please see a scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
This needs a combination of fractional laser and pulsed dye lasers for improvement. Please see a laser expert for treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.
Dark scars respond well to application of Melarase creams. If you want the scars to improve faster, then you may also use alpha beta hydroxy acid pads such as Melapads. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
