Hello, I had my breast implants 3 days ago.. I am sad because they don't look as big as I thought they would be. I am afraid after the swelling goes down my breast will look smaller. I am 5.5" and 112 pounds. I was looking to get a full size C cup or a small D, would 375cc be enough? I was a 34A . I know that you can't give me a accurate answer, but could you just give me your estimate? Will I be a Full C or a small D?? Thank you so much
Answer: Being patient after breast augmentation Hi, Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, it is way too early to make any decisions about how your breast will look. It takes weeks to months to see what is happening. Also the PS technique will also influence how quickly they settle, as well as the size of implants, your natural tissue quality and characteristics. As they settle, your breast mounds will dramatically change. Then after they have settled you may always go larger if you like. I typically ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the results of the breast augmentation or secondary breast surgery. There is no specific time to see a result. This waiting time allows patients to physically and psychologically adapt to the new changes in their body image. Best wishes, Dr. Michael J. Brown Northern Virginia Plastic Surgeon

CONTACT NOW Answer: Final size after implants Hello, unfortunately there is no way to predict your final size because bra cup sizes don't have an accurate relationship with implant volume. The final cup size will also depend on your pre-existing breast tissue and the type of bra you purchase. If your surgery was recent, the shape will change for at least several months so hopefully with time you will have the result you anticipated.

Answer: Breast implants 375cc: will this be a full C-Cup? Thanks for your question. Implant sizing is one of the most common concerns with patients. During your consultation, you should get a chance to try on implants so that you know what they feel like and how you look in them so you can be comfortable with your decision. I usually tell patients that a rough estimate of cup size to implant is that 150-200cc of implant will increase you by one cup size. So starting with an A cup and adding 375cc is going to increase you about 2 cup sizes (to around a C cup). This is just a rough estimate and depends on body/breast measurements. Keep in mind that you are still very early postop and things are going to change over time. That being said, if you think things are too small now, then over time, I doubt they will appear larger as swelling decreases, etc. But, you may find that over time, you become more comfortable with your look and end up really liking your ultimate result. You should discuss your concerns with your surgeon and continue to follow closely with him or her. They are the only one who can truly advise you on your options going forward. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Breast implants 375cc: will this be a full C-Cup? Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. I am sorry however to hear about the anxiety/sadness you are experiencing. Keep in mind, that your plastic surgeon will always be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment, advice, predictions, and/or meaningful reassurance. It may help you to know that a significant percentage of patients at your stage of recovery will feel that they are too big or (more commonly) too small. The vast majority of these patients who are initially quite emotional or "depressed" end up being very pleased with the outcome of the procedure performed. I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. From the physiological standpoint, it takes many months ( and even up to one year) to see the final results of surgery. factors such as swelling, tissue contraction, skin redraping, implant shifting etc. come into play. You may be pleasantly surprised wants to be "drop and fluff" phenomenon has occurred. From the psychological standpoint, patients undergo an “adaptation period" during which time they get used to the changes that the surgical procedure has brought about. Severe emotional swings can also occur after any type of surgical procedure. Generally speaking, BEFORE undergoing the breast procedure it is very important for patients to communicate size goals carefully with their surgeons. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) are very helpful. Bra sizers and computer imaging are also helpful visual aids. On the other hand, I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “full C cup” means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Best wishes for an outcome you will be very pleased with long term.

Answer: Choosing Breast Implants - Did I make the right choice? I would give yourself time to heal. It is normal to initially panic about your implant choice. It is difficult to know whether you picked the right size without pictures however I would give yourself time to heal and enjoy your new breasts. You can always upsize later on. #PlasticSurgery #BreastAug #Implants #BreastImplants #choosingimplants #surgeryprep
