About 16 months ago I had PRK surgery with monovision. While independently, my eyesight seems to be ok, my eyes don't seem to work together. My vision is blurry using both eyes, they water and burn and get cloudy. I had a very difficult recovery and really don't want to go through this surgery again. Is there any other treatment or something I could do at home to help?

Prk surgery requires an extended healing period. Epithelial healing can require upwards of five days during which bandage contact lens is worn. The eye is a risk for infection during this period. I would advise you to postpone surgery until after the holidays.
At three weeks out the vision may still improve although I strongly doubt that wearing a contact lens will help much. At 3 months out you will need to be evaluated for a possible refinement procedure.
Your corneas certainly are substantially thinner than
normal. LASIK would not be a good
option. If your corneal topography
is completely normal, you could have PRK surgery. There is no clear consensus on how thin a cornea can safely
be after PRK, but in my experience 400 microns has not...
