I have vitiligo on my face. Can I still get microdermabrasion?

I am 32 years old. I first developed vitiligo on my face when I was 17. It isn't very noticeable. The "washes" of de pigmentation on my face have been unchanging for many years. The vitiligo on my chest has worsened slightly but my case is not bad compared to others I've seen. I am not treating the vitiligo. I want the microdermabrasion to improve the tone and texture of the skin on my face but I don't want to flare up or worsen my vitiligo. Thank you in advance.
