I started using Dysport on 5/1/18. I went to a reputable injector. She used 100 units for brow lift, crows feet, and eleven lines. It The injector did nothing to correct this even though I contacted her at 2 weeks and 6 weeks. At 6 weeks she injected 10 units which did nothing. on 8/1 I switched to another reputable injector. He thought 100 units was a lot and said I only needed 70 units. 1 week since the injections and I can still scrunch my face. Am I being underdosed and wasting money?
Answer: Dysport amounts The exact amount of Dysport needed, like all neurotoxins, varies from one person to the next. It depends on several factors, including your anatomy, how strong (or "thick") your muscles are, the desired results, etc. Men for example, require significantly more units than women, for the same areas. For the areas that you mentioned, 100 units of Dysport is very reasonable, and should give you definite results. If you did not see anything at all, then I would be skeptical about the actual amount injected and/or the authenticity of the product. You should always have your neurotoxin injections done by experienced and reputable injectors who will only buy their products directly from the manufacturer in the USA, even if it costs a little more. Being still able to move your face muscles is not a bad thing if your cosmetic goals have been achieved. Explain to your doctor what your objectives are, and you will be very happy with the treatment designed for you. Best wishes!

Answer: Dysport/Botox/Xeomin Results and Dosage--results take 1-2 weeks This is difficult to answer without an in-person evaluation, because the amount needed will vary. However, it can take up to 2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full 2 weeks before assessing whether you need a touch-up. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Dysport injections In general, 100 units of Dysport works well for many patients looking to achieve a brow lift and diminish 11 lines. I have used more in many patients and less in others. There is no single, across the board dose that works in all people. The ideal dose depends on a number of factors including muscle strength, size, density, injection technique but also (and very importantly) what your goals are. Some people like some movement, others like very little movement. If your injector evaluates you and agrees you aren't responding appropriately to dysport despite the correct technique and incremental dosing, you may try one of the other neurotoxins (Botox, Xeomin).
