I am going to get my teeth whitened for the first time after my dental exam on August 3rd, 2015 and would like to know how long I should wait to smoke or even eat after I get them whitened? Please and Thank you! :)

It may be more of a surface staining of the composite or excess composite and can be polished off. If not, then it is due to leakage/improper bonding and will need to be removed and replaced.
Yes, using MI Paste or Sensodyne Toothpaste works well if applied before whitening, but If you havesensitive teeth, I would stay away from Zoom! You will have good results with Zoom, but you will have very sensitive teeth after the whitening for quite sometime. We use Kor Whitening...
Translucency at incisal edge gives natural look to the teeth. so even in artificial crown and veneers will incorporate that . so do not even think to remove that by any ways, otherwise teeth will look artificial.
