Hello, One orthodontist said that i need surgery for my underbite. I came across porcelain veneer. Could it help? I might need braces to straithen my teeth.... What is the average cost to treat underbite with porcelain veneer.
Answer: Improving under bite with #veneers ... #DrSarahThompson Based on your photos, you would need about 22 veneers to greatly improve the appearance of your overbite. Depending on where you go to get this done, your cost will vary. If you want to get an idea of the price, try calling your local dentist and asking the price of a veneer or crown in your area. Good luck and I hope this info helps you. Follow me if you have more questions.Sarah Thompson, DMDSt. Louis, MO Area (O'Fallon, IL)RealSelf100

CONTACT NOW Answer: UNDERBITE There are 2 things here, first is if you really want to change that underbite, due to function or if it is more for cosmetic reasonsand the other is because you want to have a correct functional bite .on the first case , if what you want is more cosmetic, and you want a much better layout , yes it can be done but with crowns and root canals, but need to be upper and lowers, at least 6 root canals, and yes you can have a very interesting result, the angle and position can be changed, the second option is with braces to correct that class3, you have , and you will have to extract at least 2 bicuspids, and wear braces at least 2 years., the 2 options are good, but you need to be concern of the pros and cons.but yes you have a solution.

Answer: Underbite correction without surgery. Is DNA Appliance a superior choice? Can Veneers correct the problem. My first choice would be to orthopedically grow yourself out to a more normal bite. The DNA Appliance is extremely effective in growing your upper jaw larger.I would begin with a neuromuscular orthotic to establish a healthy position for your ja . I suspect you are overclosed and are posturing forward but need more information. That would make this an easy case. Utilizing veneers and crowns may be possible but the neuromuscular orthotic is far more important to test out any proposed bite . Answer: Class 3 you have class 3 pattern [ lower is ahead than upper jaw]. Best and only treatment option for you is braces treatment with out without surgery. it is possible to finish case without surgery [camouflage] if discrepancy is not severe. but to check severity , it is necessary to do detailed analysis. for that visit orthodontist or take second opinion from another orthodontist. but if severity is more in that situation surgery is the only option.

Answer: Cost Treating an underbite is very very difficult. Invisalign may probably be your best solution., rather than undergoing a surgical procedure. Veneers will definitely not correct your problem, and will break very easily, considering your bite the way to see whether Invisalign will work in your case, preventing surgery, is to see if, when you bite on your front teeth, that your uppers can touch the lowers. If not, surgery is your only answer
