Compression after chin lipo - 2 days post-op.

Wearing a #compression garment may be suggested the first week and then nightly for up to six weeks. Be sure you are wearing it until prescribed otherwise by your doctor. The purpose of the post-procedure #garment is to provide some gentle #support and to reduce swelling. If it feels too tight or causes pain, take it off. Many patients wear the #elastic garment for several weeks after procedures, as directed by their doctor; some choose to wear it longer for several months for comfort. But it is recommended to acquire your doctor's advice as to any change to you may want to make with the garment (ex. wearing it less, wearing it more, changing to a less tightening or different garment, etc). 

Different surgeons will have different preferences for the use of a compression garment after liposuction under the chin.  There are also many different types of compression garments and I am not certain what type you have.  I would recommend contacting your particular surgeon's office to find out the correct way to wear your garment.  I do not think that wearing the garment longer would harm anything, but it just may not be necessary.  

This is an important question.  Among physicians who perform liposuction there is some controversy over the use of compression garments.  It is important that a garment fits well and is not too tight. Considering this and other potential issues recommend that you call your liposuction surgeon and ask for your surgeon's advice.
