I'm hoping to have vaser lipo with skin tightening as opposed to arm lift due to significant scarring this procedure leaves. Can I have advice on what I would need please? Still dieting have ten kilos left to lose. Thankyou
Answer: Arm lipo w/ skin tightening Hello! Based on your images I believe that you are a good candidate for arm liposuction w/ skin tightening. I usually combine arm lipo w/ vaser to help keep the lipo nice and smooth and utilize skin tightening to reduce the chances of skin laxity. The key here is in the surgical technique. The arm markings should be done anatomically (ie outlining your biceps, triceps, deltoids, etc). and should focus on eliminating fat from mostly the posterior arm without emptying everything as well as etching/highlighting your natural anatomy. You must leave just a little bit of fat behind and skin tighten in efforts to avoid the skin laxity and long brachioplasty scar. Good Luck!

Answer: Vaser lipo or arm lift . Treatment options including Renuvion , Bodytite Morpheus 8 Hi, Thanks for your question and pictures. According to the picture you are borderline candidate between surgical arm lift (brachioplasty) and/or Vaser lipo in combination with Renuvion. It is important to know your age, medical history including smoking status, history of significant weight fluctuations etc. The key here is also to understand what you would like to achieve, what are your expectations : if you are happy to have more invasive procedure (Brachioplasty) with some larger scars but better results or less invasive procedure (Vaser Lipo with combination of J plasma-Renuvion) with satisfactory results depending of your skin elasticity/ skin retraction. In my clinical practice, if a patient refuses to undergo for brachioplasty surgery ( surgical arm lift) then the second less invasive procedure is Vaser liposuction in combination with Renuvion/J plasma or Bodytite. The combination of Vaser lipo with J plasma- Renuvion or bodytite will help to increase the probability of skin tightening. I have experience in both Renuvion and Bodytite. Renuvion required only 1 session and I usually perform this procedure in Hospital setting and in general anesthesia or sedation. Bodytite requires 1 session in combination with Morpheus 8 (3 sessions 4 to 6 weeks apart). Morpheus 8 involves micro needling and Radiofrequency and could be quite discomfort at high level of energy for better results. For this reason, in my clinic , Morpheus 8 is performed by a surgeon with experience in local anesthetic infiltration to reduce the discomfort. The aftercare is very important and includes compression garment, manual lymphatic drainage etc. In our clinic we offer a bespoke treatment and aftercare program that reduce the possible complications and improve the outcome of the surgery. Healthy diet and exercise can also help with skin retraction and reduce the risk of saggy skin. I would strongly suggest to make a consultation with an expert Vaser/ body contouring surgeon for a medical/surgical assessment in order to consider the best suitable treatment. Hope this help, All the Best, Dr Giuseppe Fiore, MD

Answer: Determining the Appropriate Procedure: Vaser Liposuction vs. Arm Lift It's great that you're considering Vaser liposuction with skin tightening as an alternative to arm lift surgery. Here's some advice on what you may need to prepare for and consider: Consultation with a Vaser Surgeon: Schedule a consultation with a board-certified Vaser surgeon who specializes in body contouring procedures. During this consultation, discuss your goals, concerns, and preferences for Vaser liposuction with skin tightening. Your surgeon can assess your individual anatomy, skin elasticity, and overall health to determine if you're a suitable candidate for the procedure. Pre-operative Evaluation: Your surgeon may recommend undergoing a pre-operative evaluation to assess your overall health and fitness for surgery. This may include blood tests, imaging studies, and a review of your medical history to ensure you're medically cleared for the procedure. Weight Loss Goals: Continue with your dieting efforts to achieve your weight loss goals before undergoing Vaser liposuction. Losing the remaining ten kilos may help optimize your results and improve the effectiveness of the procedure. Skin Elasticity: Keep in mind that Vaser liposuction with skin tightening may be most effective for individuals with good skin elasticity. If you have concerns about loose or excess skin, discuss them with your surgeon during your consultation. They can provide recommendations based on your specific situation. Post-operative Care: Follow your surgeon's post-operative instructions carefully to promote optimal healing and recovery. This may include wearing compression garments, avoiding strenuous activities, and attending follow-up appointments to monitor your progress. Realistic Expectations: Have realistic expectations about the results of Vaser liposuction with skin tightening. While the procedure can improve the contour and appearance of your arms, it may not completely eliminate all imperfections or achieve the same results as an arm lift. Your surgeon can discuss the potential outcomes and limitations of the procedure with you during your consultation. Scarring: While Vaser liposuction typically results in smaller incisions and less visible scarring compared to traditional surgical procedures, there may still be some scarring associated with the procedure. Discuss your concerns about scarring with your surgeon, and they can provide information on scar management techniques to help minimize their appearance. Overall, communication with your surgeon and adherence to pre- and post-operative instructions are key to achieving the best possible results with Vaser liposuction with skin tightening. If you have any further questions or concerns, don't hesitate to discuss them with your healthcare provider.

TREATMENT FOR YOU

Answer: Arm liposuction Liposuction only treats subcutaneous fat. there is no skin tightening without direct skin excision. I think you’ll find all various forms of skin tightening treatments to deliver nothing. well done Liposuction can create very slight skin contraction from the scar tissue created. additional treatments like bodytite , Renuvion a.k.a. J plasma, laser assistant Liposuction or any other claimed versions of skin tightening will leave you disappointed. The form of liposuction or type of equipment used is not of significant importance in comparison to the skill of the provider. There is in the end very little difference in outcome based on the name of the equipment. How far to submit my suction still use a small stainless steel tube connected into a source of vacuum. pre-treating the fat with an ultrasound probe, laser fiber or having the cannula vibrate does not have A significant difference in comparison to choosing the best provider. I am Liposuction is the best done circumferentially. It will not lift up your skin when your arm is out by your side. It can reduce the overall size and diameter of your arm. The amount of impact Liposuction can have it is directly related to how much subcutaneous fat do you have. In someways weight loss patients become lesser candidates for liposuction as they continue successfully losing more weight. With continued weight loss skin laxity becomes worse and there is less fat to remove it making them lesser of a candidate for Liposuction. With significant weight loss patients lose their candidacy for liposuction and eventually become exclusively skin reduction candidates. It’s difficult to tell how big your subcutaneous fat layer is by looking at the picture. your picture shows more skin laxity than it does fat. Unfortunately there are no good alternatives to surgical excision of excess skin. I think you’ll find all of the alternatives to a traditional I am lift to leave you fairly disappointed. Individuals with skin laxity can have the liposuction results in regards to arm size reduction but the treatment does not fix skin laxity. if you look at my posted Liposuction farm results under my profile on this website you can see examples of armor liposuction including individuals who have skin laxity. Those patient did however have a significant amount of fat to remove making them candidates for Liposuction. Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe in. Arms are technically more challenging areas to treat than the torso. Liposuction results are permanent and irreversible. If done poorly patients can be left disfigured. Anybody considering Liposuction should be very selective in choosing providers. I suggest anybody interested in this procedure and have at least five in person consultations to find the best provider. During each in person consultation ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures. In your case you should ask providers to show you previous examples of patients who had the same amount of skin laxity and the same amount of subcutaneous fat. Seeing multiple examples of previous patient who had the same candidacy for the procedure is the only way to have a clear understanding of what the procedure can or cannot deliver. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 set of before and after pictures of commonly performed procedures like liposuction. Being shown a handful preselected images representing the best results of the providers career or results on patients who are substantially better candidates than yourself doesn’t help you in understanding the type of results you can expect. you also need to see enough pictures to confirm that that the provider can deliver the same type of results consistently on a regular basis as well as get confirmation of how many of these procedures been actually performed. When it comes to arms skin laxity patients should generally either except the skin laxity and live with it or have a definitive procedure and except the scar. Non-surgical skin tightening or trying to avoid the scar will not give quality results. With the arm in a down position skin laxity typically doesn’t show. The impact of liposuction is directly related to the amount of fat available to remove. Individuals who are not great candidates for Liposuction should have realistic expectations and be very selective when it comes to finding a provider. Generally speaking we’ve lost patients need skin surgery not Liposuction. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
