I have stopped waxing and shaving so the ingrowns and bumps can heal and go away. I exfoliate and use glycolic toner and moisturizer on the area. These marks are very dark and scattered all over
Answer: Recommend doing a chemical peel for this. Laser hair removal can be beneficial to prevent ingrown Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Answer: I have so many scars from ingrown hairs that it probably covers 50-75% of my pubic area. How can I get rid of them? (Photo) Hello, thank you for your question. When faced with an unattractive or dysfunctional scar, one must first diagnose what the problem is and then develop a hypothesis to explain why the problem might have developed. An assessment must then be made as to whether the problem is amenable to correction, and, if so, a decision must be made regarding which of the many treatment options available for scar revision is most appropriate for the specific clinical situation.

Answer: Treating Dark Spots / PIH Thanks for your question and posting a picture. The dark spot look like you have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). It looks like you also have some underlying scarring that would also be helped. After a personal consultation, we would probably recommend the PicoSure Laser with the FOCUS and or Flat Lens for pigment and texture correction. PicoSure is safe for all skin types. Depending on the severity of the pigment and texture issues, it will probably take 3 to 4 treatments. Best of luck.
