So far I've had 2 Q-switched and 2 Picosure treatments on a black line-work tattoo that is just under a year old. I've noticed only a tiny amount of fading after 4 treatments total. Is my tattoo resistant to laser removal? Could it be that the technician is not using the right settings?

Although every tattoo is unique, you can expect it to take on average 4-6 sessions. Definitely go with the PicoSure. It is hands down the best laser out there for tattoo removal. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram
I recommend following up with your doctor for after care. This sometimes takes 3-6 months to improve. Venus legacy, prp and LED treatments can help. The soreness should resolve in a few weeks. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I would be cautious, the pico can also cause depigmentation. I suggest a formal evaluation. post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from lasers is best treated with low level peels or microsecond lasers (like genesis) and skin lightening creams. Best, Dr. Emer.
