Your Tummy muscles are very prone to spasm after surgery, probably because of the tightening and changing in orientation of the muscles. Most of the time it goes away on its own after several months, but I have had patients report this even years later! Stretching usually helps as well but not too soon after surgery!!!

Tummy Tuck and Laughing?

Thank you for the question. Depending on when you had your tummy tuck performed, you may be experiencing some muscle spasms. Generally, this does resolve over the course of the first few months after tummy tuck surgery. If the spasm is uncomfortable , muscle relaxants may be helpful. Best wishes. see video
