I had biopsies done on two moles. The one on my back I had excised due to it being classified as moderate to severe atypical Nevus. However the one on my arm came back as moderate atypical and I did not get it excised. My doctor recommended the excision of both, but after researching it seemed like the evidence behind the necessity for an excision on a moderate atypical is inconclusive. I did not want an unnecessary, large scar on my arm. I'm 21. Is it safe to just monitor the one on my arm?
