I am 32DD / 34D size and looking for breast reduction. I am note sure which cup size I should go for although I dont want them to be too small. Would a C (32C / 34B) be appropriate ? Any suggestions?
Answer: Size proportionate to body At size 32 or 34 each 100 grams removed corresponds to 1 cup size reduction. From your photographs, your breasts are ptotic and large inferiorly and laterally.I recommend your surgeon reduce your breasts to the size proportionate to the chest wall instead of a preconceived notion that a C would be appropriate.I use a new technique called The Ultimate Breast Reduction™.The breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. This technique avoids the ugly vertical scars of the traditional technique, maintains nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying muscle allowing you to keep the size proportionate while resulting in immediate pain relief.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: I need a guidance on breast reduction. I am 32DD / 34D; would a C be appropriate? Thank you for the question and pictures. Based on your photographs, it is likely that you will do well with breast reduction surgery; this operation, is one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform. Most patients undergoing breast reduction surgery wish to achieve enough of a reduction to help with their symptoms while remaining proportionate with the remainder of their torso. With the goal of improving communication with my patients (determining their goals in regards to breast size after breast reduction surgery) I find the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “C cup” or " proportionate” etc. mean different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Key to success: select your plastic surgeon carefully and communicate your goals carefully as well. Again, in my opinion, the use of as many visual aids as possible is helpful. I hope this, and the attached link, helps.
