My first surgery was last year. I had 255cc in both breasts. My right breast had a hematoma which we drained. Ever since its been significantly larger than my left. My doctor said that the asymmetry would resolve with time. Fast forward 10 months and it hasn't. It's much bigger and lower than my left breast. He says that there's no more fluid in my breast and my implant is not bottoming out. He says the asymmetry is due to my anatomy but I think it's because of the hematoma. What do you think?
Answer: You are correct The asymmetry is due to the hematoma and subsequent evacuation. The inframammary fold is lower and more medial. Now that it hasn't resolved, maybe it's time to fix it, if it is bothering you. My concern is your doctor's assessment of your situation; he/she is either unable to understand what's causing the asymmetry or he/she is being dishonest. Either one is an undesirable quality for a surgeon.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Breast asymmetry after hematoma. Thanks for the question and providing the pictures. From the pre op pictures it appears that there was a small difference in level of inframammary fold. The haematoma and subsequent evacuation could have resulted in bigger pocket. It would be not reasonable to give it more time to settle before you consider any revision surgery. You can benefit from tightening of the pocket in future.

Answer: Breast asymmetry following augmentation Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, your breasts are at different "altitudes" on your chest wall, and also demonstrate size asymmetry. These asymmetries are not very apparent in the preoperative photos.I cannot 100% ascribe the asymmetry to the hematoma, but it may have played a significant role. You may be a candidate for secondary touch up. 15% of cosmetic surgical procedures may benefit from secondary revision.Best wishes...

Answer: Breasts You did not post a frontal before photo, so I cannot be specific. Often breast differences are not noticed by patients until after enlargement with implants. Ask to compare you before and after photos with the same pose so you can see. A drained hematoma should not be a problem unless a capsule developed.

Answer: Breast Implants - hematoma Hi, to me this looks a bit more like implant malposition. The best way to treat these is to use a mesh material called Galatea to support the implant. I'm not sure it's quite "bottoming out" but it is kinda getting there. The hematoma may have been coincidental to the settling but I don't think it's related. Reviewing your before picture of that right side in the front view would be useful. Best Wishes!!

Answer: Asymmetry Good morning, I agree that you aren't bottoming out but I believe that as a result of everything the right side went through the pocket is a bit too large for the implant and larger than the pocket on the other side, allowing more settling and thus a lower appearance and less upper pole fullness on that side. I would tighten up that pocket with the original Internal bra, my strong permanent internal suturing technique, which would vastly improve your asymmetry.
