I assume it a burst blood vessel but I am really not sure and it's been there for several years, picture attached. Thanks in advance
Answer: Benign blood vessel tumor Hello KasK, thank you for your question. It appears from your picture that you have a cherry angioma. These are benign blood vessel tumors. Usually, these can be treated with a laser. Patients will come to my office and in a single treatment they can have this removed and it does not even require anesthetic. In my office, I have treated patients with cherry angioma with 1 treatment 99% of the time. The laser you would want to use is Nd:YAG laser. If you have any questions feel free to contact my office. Good luck. Sincerely, J. Timothy Katzen, M.D.

Answer: Red dot on nose Based on the photo, it appears that you have a benign vascular growth called an angioma. This can be treated with either a vascular laser, pulsed dye or KTP 532 laser, or a small hyfercator which uses electrical energy to remove the lesion. Since the lesion is quite small you should get a very nice treatment result. I do recommend a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for consultation. Best wishes.
