Hi, has anyone used Picosure for acne scarring? I read that the average number of sessions for this is 4, but as I have had my scars for over 8 years, I was told I would need 6 or 7 sessions. I thought about taking 8 to be safe (they have offers for 4 sessions, so I need to decide about the second set of sessions before the 4th one). So far I've had 2 and do not see any improvement, does it take long for the skin to regenerate or should I see improvements right after every session? Thanks!
Answer: Picosure for Acne Scarring There is improvement in collagen with Picosure after each session but it may not be noticeable on the surface right away. There are other more aggressive treatments like fractional resurfacing (the gold standard for scar treatments) that improve scars with fewer treatments but have more downtime. And it’s my experience that anyone with acne scars tends to still see them even if they are 50 % better, so it’s always better to judge improvement from a photo to a photo.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Picosure works Picosure works for acne scarring. Its best if you spaced out your sessions with more time between sessions. I've seen amazing results with acne scarring without the downtime of fractional laser.

Answer: PicoSure for Acne Scarring PicoSure is an amazing treatment option for acne scars but it takes time to see results as it promotes healthy skin from deeper down the skin as opposed to "frying" the top layer of the skin off. It's would be helpful to see the picture of your acne scars to understand why you were given 8 sessions suggestion. It tells me me that your acne scars are severe and more than one treatment should be used in combination . I often combine PicoSure with 1540 Icon Fractional laser and micro needling with PRP for the best possible outcome. The treatments that I suggest depend on how fast my patient wan t toes the result, any downtime they are willing to take, their budget, etc. It's team work that leads to successful treatments in combination with my skill and evaluation using the most advanced tools available on the market. Hope this helps. Best.Dr.Avaliani

Answer: When You Should Start Seeing Results with PicoSure for Acne PicoSure is the best surface treatment for acne scars thanks to trillionth-second pressure waves and a state-of-the-art laser. Collagen will start developing right after the treatment, but you won't see those results right away. You will start seeing results at one month and this will continue to improve for the ensuing six months for an overall significant improvement. I would like to suggest that you wait for six months to see your results. If you do not see significant improvement, then adding another four sessions will not be helpful.Acne scars are challenging to treat due to fibrous scar tissue which tethers the scars to deeper skin tissue. These have to be released and treatment done from under the skin. I accomplish this with a liquid facelift whereby scar tissue is released with a blunt needle, making it virtually painless. Next, I treat with a filler like Juvederm and PRP which helps to regenerate your own tissue. I also use the PrecisionTX laser to treat the scarring from under the skin. The best treatment is combination therapy.Best of luck and happy holidays, Dr. C. K. Yeo
