My consultant had told me I'd be off for 6-8 weeks but I'm really surprised by this as many others have returned to work after 2 weeks. I am a school secretary and sit in front of a computer for a fair chunk of the day so no real lifting or handling required. Is she just being over cautions? I know it depends on the individual but through past experience I usually recover very quickly.

PSs will have different protocols regarding removal and replacement of nipple piercings. I generally have the patient remove them prior to surgery and I replace them at the end of surgery. The holes should not close up during the surgery.
