I have been diagnosed with Dercums Disease; can CoolSculpting help multiple lipomas?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, Coolsculpting is not the best solution for you at this time. This is because due to the shape of the applicator it will not be possible to target the lipoma specifically without also getting the fat. A better option maybe Kybella injections. Coolsculpting is great at treating soft subcutaneous fat, but is not a viable option for treating lipomas. Lipomas fall into their own category and although harmless, can be unsightly.  They are not uniform in shape or size, and cannot be targeted well for proper placement and effectiveness with the CoolScuplting applicators. Although I understand your concerns about invasive treatments, surgery would still be the best option for you. Good luck with everything!

Lipomas are different sizes and amorphous, therefore they aren't targeted well with a coolsculpting applicator. This would not be effective for your lipomas unfortunately. Surgical removal is still the best option. Hope this helps.
