What is Wavefront LASIK?
Wavefront LASIK is a procedure which enables the surgeon to tailor LASIK for the unique characteristics of your eyes. Two people with the same prescription do not undergo the same procedure with Wavefront or CustomVue TM LASIK. The procedure is customized to your eyes and allows for better vision after the procedure!

What is LASIK Plus?
LASIK Plus is chain of corporate laser centers around the country. As LASIK is a medical, elective procedure and not a commodity, we feel it is important to have the examination and meet the surgeon before your procedure!

LASIK is the method used to correct vision.

LASIK is the most common method of performing laser vision correction. "LASIK Plus" is not a different procedure. It is simply a trademarked business name of a publicly traded chain of LASIK centers. Analogy: Pizza is a type of food. "Pizza Hut" is the name of a chain of stores that sell pizza.

LASIK Plus is a discount chain that performs LASIK.

LASIK Plus is a discount chain that performs LASIK with very little direct contact with the operating surgeon.  Pre-operative exams and follow-up care is usually performed by technicians or optometrists.

Wavefront LASIK is a customized LASIK treatment based on each individual's eye.

LASIK Plus vs Wavefront LASIK

You are confusing a LASIK provider(LASIK Plus) with a LASIK procedure. LASIK Plus is a discount LASIK chain with Centers in many states. They have been closing Centers of late due to economic conditions. Wavefront LASIK is the name for the customized approach to LASIK, and is the only approach I use. There are several methods and software variations that can be used to correct vision during LASIK. The Wavefront approach(guided or optimized) is the most advanced and successful, leading to a reduction in glare, halo's, etc. I recommend Wavefront very highly. I also recommend prudence when selecting a LASIK surgeon, advising cost to not be your first deciding point. Often, the discount chains will offer a price up front that sounds enticing, however, by the time your procedure is complete you have had to pay for many add-ons that elevate the cost alot. Do your homework, go to a surgeon who is trusted in your community. You only have one pair of eyes.....treat them well!

LASIK plus is just a name

+1

Lasik plus (+) is a marketing concept or name that a corporate entity (LCA Vision or trade name LCAV) uses to give the impression that one is getting something extra at their centers. It has nothing to do with the laser treatment itself. Most of the care is from employees of the company and the surgery is performed by a doctor under contract.

Wave front or custom LASIK is a reference to a type of laser vision correction which treats or is optimized for a better result potentially than plain LASIK with older technology. The benefits of this type of treatment are real and vary in importance to each individual patient.

Lasik Plus is a corporate chain providing Lasik services.  Wavefront LASIK is an advanced form of LASIK in which no two eyes are treated the same.  Do not settle for anything less than Blade-Free Wavefront LASIK!
