I am 24. I have tried numerous OTC medications, including Proactive, for my acne. When I was younger and had insurance I was on benzaclin which also did nothing to help. I found a website where you can buy generic Accutane for a decent price. I was wondering if that is something I should try next. I have pretty bad pitted scars as well as active cystic acne currently.

This isn't true. We don't recommend people who drink drastically (as in are alcoholics) take Accutane because their liver is already compromised. Occasional drinking while on Accutane is completely fine and safe. Additionally, you are on a lower dosage (40mg) so there is nothing to worry about.
Accutane makes you more sun sensitive, so if you aren't wearing sunscreen every day and you are African American, you are simply creating a problem by excessively tanning your face. It's not the Accutane, it's the sun sensitivity mixed with the fact that you're not wearing sunscreen! It will go...
